Schools
You request a demo or write to us. We create the school and the head teacher account, then you import your pupils, teachers and families from a CSV or Excel file — the one your office already has. Each class gets an invitation code for families. The first pilot schools are supported free of charge.
No. Mon School runs in the browser, on phones and computers, and can be added to the home screen like an app (PWA). Notifications arrive in the app, by email and, if you turn them on, as push notifications on your device.
The teacher or head teacher shares the class code. The parent creates an account, enters the code and types their child's name — no pupil list is ever displayed. The school then approves the link. Nothing is automatic: a wrong link would be an incident involving children's data.
The teacher takes the register every day. Parents are notified of an absence or late arrival and can send an excuse note — a message, with a document or photo if needed. The teacher validates the note from their space.
The teacher enters assessments per subject; averages are calculated automatically. Each term's report card is signed by the teacher, then by the head teacher, before being sent to families as a PDF.
The school year and its terms are managed in Mon School. The head teacher closes the year and prepares the next one: new classes, moving pupils up a year, transfers. The history remains available.
Families
Yes, entirely. Schools choose a school plan; families and teachers never pay.
Yes. Each child is linked to your account once their school approves it, with their class, feed, homework and report cards. Both parents can each have their own account.
In the app, by email (instantly or as a daily digest) and as push notifications on your phone if you enable them from your profile. On iPhone, add Mon School to your home screen first. You choose what you receive, type by type.
Yes, but the school creates it — never the child. From their space, the pupil sees homework, hands in work (for example a photo of their exercise book), checks their points and adds to their portfolio, which the teacher approves.
Yes. Announcements, homework and report cards have a WhatsApp share button. You decide what you share, and with whom.
Security & data
In the European Union: the database and files are hosted by Supabase in the eu-west-1 region (Ireland). The website is served by Vercel. The publisher, AJ SRL, is established in Belgium and subject to the GDPR.
Only people authorised by their role, verified on the server: the teachers of their class, the head teacher of their school and the linked parents. There is no public child profile and no ranking between pupils. Files are private and served through temporary one-hour links.
Write to hello@monschool.app or go through your school. Access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability are provided for by the GDPR; we reply within a month. Schools also have CSV and PDF exports.
Pricing
Nothing for teachers or families, forever. Connecting the school goes through a school plan detailed on the Pricing page. The first pilot schools are supported free of charge.
The pilot programme has no commitment. School plans are then monthly or yearly (two months free). Public schools can pay by invoice and purchase order.
