I am a parent

Join the class, follow the day, reply to the school: everything from your phone.

1

Join my child's class with a code

  1. 1Ask the teacher or the school for the class code.
  2. 2Open the Mon School portal and create your account with your email address.
  3. 3Enter the code, then type your child's name (no list is displayed).
  4. 4The school approves your request: you receive an email and the class appears in your space.
2

Excuse an absence or a late arrival

  1. 1You receive a notification when the teacher records an absence or late arrival.
  2. 2Open Attendance, then the absence concerned, and choose Excuse.
  3. 3Write a note and attach a document or photo if needed (medical certificate, letter).
  4. 4The teacher validates the note; the status updates in your space.
3

Read my child's report card

  1. 1Open Report cards and choose the term.
  2. 2The report card is available once signed by the teacher and then by the head teacher.
  3. 3Download it as a PDF or share it on WhatsApp from the share button.
4

Set my notifications

  1. 1Open your Profile, then Notifications.
  2. 2Choose, type by type, what you receive: messages, homework, absences, report cards, events.
  3. 3For email, choose between instant sending and a daily digest.
  4. 4Turn on "Notifications on this device" to receive push notifications (on iPhone, add Mon School to your home screen first).
5

Install Mon School on my phone

  1. 1Open the portal in your browser.
  2. 2On Android (Chrome): menu, then "Add to Home screen" or "Install app".
  3. 3On iPhone (Safari): Share button, then "Add to Home Screen".
  4. 4Mon School then opens like an app, with its own icon.
6

Reply to an event (trip, meeting)

  1. 1Open Calendar: the class and school trips, meetings and holidays are listed there.
  2. 2Open the event and give your answer (attending / not attending) when a reply is requested.
  3. 3A reminder is sent to you the day before.

I am a teacher

Post, take the register, grade, encourage: the actions that come back every week.

1

Post homework with a photo

  1. 1Open Homework, then New homework.
  2. 2Enter the subject, title, instructions and due date.
  3. 3Add one or more photos or a PDF (the exercise, the textbook page).
  4. 4Publish: the families concerned are notified according to their preferences.
2

Take the daily register

3

Post in the class feed

  1. 1Open Feed, then New post, Announcement or Poll.
  2. 2Write your text and add photos if you wish.
  3. 3For an announcement, tick relay to parents: they receive it directly.
  4. 4After posting, "seen by N families" tells you who has read it.
4

Enter grades and sign the report card

  1. 1Open Grades, create an assessment (subject, date, scale) and enter the results.
  2. 2Averages per subject and per pupil are calculated automatically.
  3. 3At the end of term, open Report cards, review and sign each report card.
  4. 4The head teacher signs in turn, then sends the report cards to families as PDFs.
5

Award skill points

  1. 1Open Points and select one or more pupils.
  2. 2Choose the skill (helping others, participation, perseverance…) and add a comment.
  3. 3The pupil and their parents see the point and the comment.
  4. 4Each pupil sees only their own progress: there is no ranking.
6

Approve submissions and the portfolio

  1. 1In a homework item, open Submissions: pupils upload a photo of their exercise book or a file there.
  2. 2In Portfolio, find the work submitted by pupils.
  3. 3Approve the work or request a change with a comment.
  4. 4Once approved, the work becomes visible to parents.

I run a school

Set up the school, open classes to families, close the year: your head teacher space.

1

Import pupils, teachers and families

  1. 1Open Import and download the CSV or Excel template.
  2. 2Fill it in with your lists (one row per person) and import the file.
  3. 3Check the line-by-line report: errors are flagged before anything is created.
  4. 4Confirm: accounts are created and teachers receive their credentials by email.
2

Invite families with a class code

  1. 1Open Classes, then the class concerned.
  2. 2Copy the class code (or the link) and pass it on to families.
  3. 3Parents create their account and request the link to their child.
  4. 4You or the teacher approve each request.
3

Approve parent-child links

  1. 1Open Requests: each request shows the parent, the declared child and the class.
  2. 2Check that it is consistent (name, class, declared relationship).
  3. 3Approve or reject. The parent is notified and, if approved, sees the class immediately.
4

Sign and send report cards

  1. 1Open Report cards and choose the term.
  2. 2Review the report cards already signed by the teachers.
  3. 3Sign them, then send them: families receive a notification and the PDF is archived.

Move on to the next school year

  1. 1Open School year and close the last term, then the year.
  2. 2Create the new year and its terms.
  3. 3Create the year's classes and move pupils up to the next level (or transfer them).
